Eco-friendly measures such as extensive usage of bio-stimulants, bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides are growing in mass appreciation. To cater to this demand, Lokmangal Bio-Tech Pvt.Ltd.currently has two manufacturing units, each with a well-equipped laboratory for in-depth analysis of all raw material and finished products. Soil and water testing is another major activity.
One of the major concerns in today’s industrialized world is pollution and degradation of soil because of noxious waste and rampant use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, causing irreparable damage to the overall eco- system. A remedy to this is using bio-fertilizers, which are environmentally friendly fertilizers now used in most countries.
In line with the Group’s focus on environment-friendly initiatives, Lokmangal Bio-Tech has made concerted efforts not just to manufacture these products, but also to inculcate their use, by conducting awareness programmes amongst farmers, not only the big landowners but even the smallest parcel holders in the remotest corners of the district. This has paid farmers rich dividends in terms of ecology preservation and by substantially increasing the yield from their soil.
Established in Solapur in 2006, the Company’s activities have now spread across Maharashtra to Vidarbha and Khandesh as well as to other States including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Farming regions such as Solapur is bound to derive a number of benefits from bio fertilizers. These include plant nutrition, disease resistance, and tolerance to adverse soil and climatic conditions. Since biofertilizers form a symbiotic, healthy relationship with the roots, they can help overcome problems such as increased soil salinity and chemical run-offs from the agricultural fields.
Bio-pesticides are inherently less toxic than conventional pesticides, and generally affect only the target pest and closely related organisms, in contrast to broad spectrum, conventional pesticides that may affect organisms as different as birds, insects, and mammals.
